Below are a list of common questions sent in from our users. If your question is not answered below, please contact us for help.
Link Questions
- How Do I Submit a Link? Users can submit links using the Submit tab at the top of the page. Once at the submit page, you will need to select whether your link is to a story, video, or photo. Users can also submit to their own blog on our site by select the blog option. If you are submitting a photo, you will be prompted to select which photo from the page you'd like to submit.
- What is The Difference Between All Links and Popular Links? All links contain all recent links that are submitted by users. Popular links contain all links that were liked by users in the community. Popularity of links are explained in the next questions.
- How are Popular Links Determined? Popular links are determined using a combination of votes, comments, clicks, and rankings of users who submit the content. Moderators only take action if a link is reported that breaks our terms of service. New links go popular around once an hour.
- My Submitted Link Does Not Appear In the All Links Section. Why not? After submitting a link, it may take up to 2 minutes to appear in in the All Links section. This is normal, so don't worry, it will appear soon.
- What Kinds of Links Can I Submit? We encourage users to submit any link that they feel may interest other users. While the floor is open to a variety of topics, we do follow a strict policy regarding links that contain nudity, spam, or spyware. Submitting such links may lead to an account ban.
- Can I Edit or Delete a Link I Submitted? Currently, users can not modify their link after it has been submitted. We are working to add this feature soon. If you have an issue with a link you submitted, please contact us directly.
User Questions
- How are User Points Calculated? Points are awarded to users that are active on our site. For posting a link, a user is awarded 3 points. If that link goes popular, they are given an additional 4 points. For posting a blog, a user will receive 5 points along with 1 point for each comment that they post.
- How Do I Edit my Profile? Users can edit their profile by clicking on the Settings link at the top of the page. Once on that page, options will appear to Edit Account (email, gender, signature), Edit Profile Box (a personal message shown on a user's profile), and Change Photo (upload a new photo that appears next to their name).
- What Does Follow User Mean? This feature will be expanded upon in the near future allowing users to create their own customized frontpage displaying recent links, comments, messages, and blogs from users who they follow. This will allow a user to easily locate information from the friends that they've made on the site.
